About My Work
My vision is for women to feel whole, well, and deeply connected to themselves, their children, and their most meaningful relationships.
I have worked in the field of maternal mental health as an early intervention mental health clinician and supervisor, a perinatal and postpartum therapist, and perinatal mental health educator. I have supported many women on their paths through the perinatal and postpartum spaces and have focused experience in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as attachment focused, caregiver-child interventions.
My therapeutic style aims to honor and normalize the unique experience of each mother or mother to be. I believe in the inherent wisdom of the body and nervous system in supporting wellness, and use a whole-person approach to help those I serve feel connected and well.
All parts of you are welcomed and honored in our work together, and so are your little ones.
I incorporate elements of talk therapy, body-based and movement therapy, mindfulness practices, and the expressive arts into my therapeutic care and supervision/consultation. My work is client-centered, trauma-informed, and multiculturally sensitive.
About Me
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with BS degrees in Psychology and Developmental & Family Studies from the University of North Texas. I then received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Concentration in Somatic Psychotherapy: Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder.
Since becoming a mental health counselor, my clinical path has led me in increasingly focused ways to work with women, families with young children, and specifically mothers. I am passionate about ensuring the experiences, strengths, and needs of those in mothering spaces are seen, and am honored to be among those who get to see them "in action" every day.
In addition to my work, I value spending time outdoors, traveling, moving my body, and (first and foremost) nurturing my own sweet family.
Services
Therapy
I offer therapy sessions for individuals and families in a hybrid telehealth/in person model in Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachussetts. My clinical specialties are perinatal and reproductive care, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (including postpartum depression, anxiety, and OCD), birth trauma, attachment and bonding, early childhood mental health and development, grief, and family transitions.
I believe wellness is rooted in our most meaningful relationships. While the therapy space can be individual and sacred, I also welcome you to share it with your little ones (for whom we will always pause for nursery rhymes), partners, or other supportive persons as you deem helpful to you. Raising a family takes a village. Caring for mothers does too.
Consultation
Maternal mental health is vital for the sustained well-being of children, families, and communities. I am passionate about ensuring mothers and mothers-to-be are seen, heard, represented, and treated with respect, dignity, and quality care in every setting.
I offer case consultation to other professionals seeking to provide evidence-based, quality care to women in a variety of settings. I also offer programatic consultation and support for practices and institutions seeking to better meet the needs of women, specifically in the birth and postpartum spaces.
Supervision
I offer clinical supervision for Master's level, pre-licensed, or independently licensed counselors and social workers seeking to build clinical skills in maternal mental health care, caregiver-child and attachment based interventions, or somatic psychotherapy.
I also work as a clinical supervisor in the Early Intervention setting, where I focus on including maternal and family level mental health in early childhood, as well as support clinicians across the allied health professions in their clinical care.
